Coqui frog control back in local news

There have been a few articles lately in the West Hawaii Today about the county's attempt to manage the Hawaii coqui frog situation.  Community groups speak up to get the resources they need, HERE

As the spring rains return to South Kona, so is your invitation to follow the 3 simple steps needed for community control: tag, treat and repeat.

Remember - this is an on-going project. View our earlier posts for details.

Mahalo for doing your part to Keep Kona Quiet!

  1. Am visiting Kailua-Kona from Maui and am aware of the sounds of these frogs from their invasion of the Ritz-Carlton. I have heard one or two chirping in the neighborhood slightly north of Queen Kalama St and Kahananui Place. Just wanting someone here to know about it and to pass the info on to those who can do something about it.
